Chan Ting Cheung Tim (b.1988), Hong Kong composer, percussionist, media artist. Graduated from Hong Kong Baptist University Bachelor of Arts in Music (Honours), Minor in Visual Arts. Studied music composition with Professor Christopher Keyes. Tim is the founder of the two-piano and percussion ensemble QUARTER.

Tim has been commissioned and his works have been performed by various institutions and performing groups, including Hong Kong New Music Ensemble, Theatre Horizon, Hong Kong Museum of Art, Oil Street Art Space, Soundpocket, City Contemporary Dance Centre, Tang Shu-Wing Theatre Studio, Theatre Ronin, The Absolutely Fabulous Theatre Connection, The Circus Theatre Group.

Tim has also been featured as a media artist in exhibitions organised by Lumenvisum (photography art organisation), Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, and The Society of Rehabilitation and Crime Prevention.

He has appeared as guest percussionist with the Hong Kong New Music Ensemble, Western District (chamber music ensemble), and the Macau Orchestra. In 2021, Tim built instruments for Ken Ueno!s Daedalus Drones and also served as engineer for the speaker-on-rails system designed especially for the project.

Tim has given seminars on Maxmsp with Arduino application at School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong.

Currently, besides working for his family company Astor Automation Development, Tim also serves as Production Manager at the Hong Kong New Music Ensemble.
